So Blessed

On my birthday (this time last week) my wonderful cousin Monica surprised me with tickets to see The Lion King in theatre, it was such a magical night full of tears of joy and reminiscing of our childhood in Africa. I'd highly recommend anyone who's thinking of going to watch it, it's phenomenal. We got to take some photos after the show by the stage :)

THE DRESS
I've had this dress for about a year and a bit now, and only worn it three times, because it's a bit too "hey look at me in this sexy dress, wanna take it off?" to wear all the time. But I feel more confident and elegant that I don't feel it looks too revealing. I adore the open back and cut in sides I can't lie I felt sexy for the first time in forever, I paired it with my black heeled sandals from New look, and my coat from primark that I bought last winter. I'm not into accessories so I didn't have any apart from my rings, I'm trying to find some perfect minimal jewellery let me know if you have any suggestions!

We then had a lovely dinner Busaba near by, I had a delicious Pad Thai
 THE DAY
My mum has started a new tradition by which she buys us matching dresses, this year is this monochrome number. I like the panel detail in the middle which accentuates curves on the body, it also had a cool 60's vibe and it suited both me and mum. High five for this one mum!

I then met up with my cousins Joanne and Monica and one of my best friends Priya, we went to TGI Friday and I ate a really awesome hot dog.... can't stop thinking about it. We laughed, I cried, opened beautiful presents (thank you so much girls) and had a lovely sleepover too.

I'm not really a Birthday person (I love other people's birthday more!) but I had the best one yet and I'm so grateful to all the wonderful people in my life for making it extra special. Here's to more good times, they're so many wonderful things happening can't wait to share them with you all. Hope you've had a good week so far, I'm I the only one looking forward to Halloween? Stay happy and beautiful

  1. I love your dress! And my mum and me used to wear matching dresses when I was little, I think we should go back to doing that. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. I'm looking forward to Halloween but I'm definitely more excited for Christmas - I know it's early but I'm already listening to my Christmas playlist haha. x
